Treat yourself to an island break at this bright and airy apartment in Niton village at the southern end of the Isle of Wight. The historic building was once the Rectory of Niton. With capacity for up to six people and two canine chums, this ground-floor property offers traditional features like beams along with classic styling and all mod cons. It’s perfect for a family holiday, or for two couples.
You’ll want to flop into the comfortable sofas in the lounge area of the open-plan living/dining/kitchen room. On warm days, leave the slimline French doors to the garden open to catch a breeze and let furry friends come and go. The kitchen is at the other end, in an almost semi-circular layout which makes the space work really well. It offers all mod cons for your self-catering break, with a table in the middle for sharing holiday feasts. Hot dogs will love to snooze on the cooling wood floor here. The three bedrooms all exude a relaxing vibe, with individual calming decor and furnishings. Two have king-size beds, while the single room has an additional trundle single upon request. All three share the family bathroom with a bath, separate shower and lovely tiling. The enclosed garden is a good size and south-facing, so something of a suntrap. There’s furniture and a charcoal BBQ for summer feasts alfresco.
Niton village itself is worth a wander and the village pub welcomes well-behaved dogs. Popular seaside town, Ventnor, is 4.5 miles away with lots of eating, walking and shopping possibilities, hopefully something to please everyone – on two and four legs! But, what better way to spend time here than heading out and enjoying some coastal path walks, just be mindful about possible dog restrictions on certain beaches.
