Part of a converted schoolhouse in the Nidderdale region of the Yorkshire Dales, this welcoming home has space for four guests along with two canine companions and is perfectly located for exploring the town of Pateley Bridge and the surrounding undulating countryside.
Guests to this cottage will be treated by the owners to a lovely welcome pack, along with plenty of information on the local area, and a wide variety of games to enjoy as a family. Everything is set over one floor but you’ll be in an elevated position so you can enjoy views over the area. The hallway’s boot room is a handy place to hang coats and dog leads before you head through to the bright and light kitchen to cook tasty meals. Let sleeping dogs lie and watch movies together in the lounge, before heading to one of the two bedrooms (a double and a twin) to get some well-deserved rest. The property is accessed via an external stairway, and also boasts a patio garden which has a table and chairs so you can enjoy al fresco wining and dining.
Set within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Pateley Bridge is a pretty, chocolate-box market town with several dog-friendly pubs and a range of shops and galleries. Head off on foot and paw into the surrounding countryside and find a new leash of life on the scenic walk around Nought Moor which offers superb views and contrasting landscapes. Enjoy inspecting the strange historic rock formations at Brimham Rocks which is set amongst stunning moorland (4 miles), or uncover Stump Cross Caverns (11.5 miles), ancient natural cave formations set underneath the Yorkshire Dales.
