Love holiday home set in the Yorkshire moors with the most beautiful views. Surrounded by countryside and farm animals, and very peaceful. Whitby is just about 20 minutes drive where you can get everything you need, and is a great place to explore too. Is a great place for exploring the Yorkshire moors and surrounding areas. Comfy and clean and Read moredog friendly too. Hide

We loved the location of the cottage, the valley is beautiful, peaceful with wildlife to see. The garden is an afternoon sun trap, it was nice to sit out and listen to the birds. The kitchen was lacking a few items, such as a potato peeler, pizza cutter, decent knives and a large colander. We hope to return to the area again, a week wasn't enough tRead moreo see everything in the area. Hide

The cottage had everything you would need for a weeks stay. The area was quite remote but only a short distance from everything you need. The area is quite hilly but the views are fantastic and everyone was very friendly

Just want to mention that we found evidence of slugs in the kitchen and of mice on the dining table. Appreciate that this is a country cottage and liable to such visits, but thought it worth mentioning in case the owners are unaware.
