Plenty of information given before our arrival. We were returning to our "home" town for a family birthday so didn't need the directions but this would be useful for anyone who doesn't know the area. Lovely cottage. Thoughtfully decorated, very clean and plenty of room for 5 adults and a dog. Lots of extra touches that I wasn't expecting, like a piRead morent of milk in the fridge. We really enjoyed our stay. Hide

The property was to a very high standard, very clean, comfortable beds and sitting room and very well stocked kitchen. However, the dishwasher could perhaps benefit from a clean run and the tin opener was not very effective. But these things did not take away from the high quality of a superb holiday cottage.

Very clean and kitchen has all we required to self cater in style. Welcome pack and instruction on how to use the equipment were most helpful and coffee machine was a dream. Outside area was most comfortable and location was very quiet at night to allow for a easy and restful sleep. 10/10

Thought that website description should have mentioned proximity to main road with some traffic noise. Otherwise, a great base from which to explore the area.

The well-equipped property is located in a quiet and peaceful village, just a 30 minute walk to Whitby. Close to all amenities, including local pub and a very good butcher's shop. On our seRead morecond day we walked to Robin Hood's Bay on the cinder track, which was a lovely 2hr walk, got the bus back (which runs every 30 mins). Overall, this 3-bedroomed house in Ruswarp is a fantastic place to stay, the perfect place to relax and unwind. 10/10 for location, house and outdoor space. Hide

We had a lovely stay in this well-equipped cottage. The location is perfect for visits into Whitby and there are a number of great walks on your doorstep. A couple of minutes walk and you are by the river, which is well worth a visit. The local butchers are also worth a visit as it is much more than a butcher's shop! We will be back! 5 stars.

We were lucky enough to stay in the cottage at Easter. It has been completely renovated, finished to a very high standard and beautifully furnished throughout. The 3 bedrooms were all a really good size, particularly the master bedroom in the attic which was very spacious. It is all very well equipped with everything you could think of including a Read morepicnic basket and boules for the beach! The outside patio area is lovely although unfortunately we never got the weather to enjoy it. We'll definitely be back. Many thanks. Hide
