This lovely property, situated in the peaceful village of Skendleby at the edge of the Linconshire Wolds, is the perfect romantic bolthole for two – and the dog, of course! Sleeping you both in a peaceful king-size bedroom, this barn conversion is an opportunity to escape the pressures of busy life and take some time for yourselves. You’ll get 10% off food at the dog-friendly pub on site, but other local market towns like Alford (5.5 miles), Spilsby (5 miles) and Louth (14 miles) also have plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from, as well as independent shops and cafes.
The cottage, which is set out all on one level, is cosy and welcoming. The open-plan living area is a sociable space to enjoy time with your favourite human and canine companion; cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen and dine al fresco on the patio when it’s warm. A comfortable sofa in the living area is perfect for snuggling up in front of the TV, the pup by your feet, while the tastefully-decorated en-suite shower room is ideal for taking a revitalising shower in before retiring to bed.
Take a delightful morning out at the Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary (9 miles) where your pup is welcome to join you on a lead to meet the many donkeys and ponies, then head on to Moggs Eye Beach (13 miles) where they can unleash it all 365 days a year. Ingoldmells South Beach (10 miles) is another one that’s a hit with four-legged friends. WW2 enthusiasts will enjoy the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (10 miles), but listen out for the aircrafts’ engines as they might startle your furry friend!
