This luxurious yet quaint stone-built cottage sits in the bustling fishing port of Seahouses on the Northumbrian coast. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms and welcoming two canine companions, it’s perfect for romantic couples or small groups who want to take some spectacular coastal walks with their pups by their side. You’ll love dining alfresco in the garden and your pups will adore stretching out in front of the wood burner each evening.
Step inside this terraced cottage and you’ll find an irresistibly-cosy lounge/dining area. Sink into a sofa and make yourself at home by the wood burner before you head to the bright, contemporary kitchen to put your culinary skills to the test. This lovely space features original wood beams and is equipped with everything you need to whip up a fabulous feast. Enjoy an intimate meal in the dining area or head outside and dine al fresco in the shared courtyard garden. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of something cool and crisp and watch the stars come out, or head back in to the lounge area to watch a movie while your pups snooze by the wood burner. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms on the first floor.
Expect tails to wag, because your pups are welcome at both Seahouses Beach (0.5 miles) and Seahouses South Beach (0.5 miles) all year round. A little further afield, they can also enjoy a run at Bamburgh Beach (3.5 miles) – a very special spot where a breathtaking castle dominates the skyline. Alternatively, head down to the harbour (0.5 miles) and take your pups on a boat trip to the Farne Islands. Dogs aren’t allowed at the bird sanctuaries on the National Trust islands, but the boat crew will look after them until you return.
