Take your waggy-tailed friend with you when you stay at this exquisite retreat in the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South Wales. Set in the quiet village of Scurlage, 4 miles from the beautiful beaches of Oxwich Bay and Rhossili Bay, both of which are dog-friendly at any time of year, it makes a great choice for couples with a pet. Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom abode has access to a shared, lawned garden which your cheerful chum will adore.
Make your way into this stone retreat with your canine companion close behind. Once a stable, this is now an inviting cottage suitable for holiday makers and their hounds. The airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is filled with natural light thanks to the abundance of windows. Feed your furry friend and make your own dinner, then dine at the table and settle down in front of the TV while he dozes and dreams about his day. When you are ready to turn in, wander up to the double bedroom on the first floor, which has sloping ceilings, an en-suite shower room and a TV. Have morning coffee out on your private patio, with your chum by your side, or take him out into the shared garden so he can run about. There is also a shared laundry room here, plus off-road parking for one car.
Step out from the cottage to find an abundance of dog walks from the doorstep. Jump into the car and head to Rhossili Bay to spend time on the beach or pick up the Wales Coast Path and walk 1.5 miles to the Worm’s Head causeway. You can cross over to the tidal island here but take care to check your timings and ensure that it’s not too stony underfoot for your four-legged walking companion.
