For the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life, this tranquil cottage is located in the idyllic coastal village of Crackington Haven. It is an ideal size for a couple taking a break with their beloved four-pawed pal and is wonderfully situated for gentle walks along the beach, followed by a warming drink in the local pub with Fido curled up at your feet. This cosy retreat offers the friendly community of a little village and the peaceful solitude that can only be found on Cornwall’s wild coastline.
The open-plan layout makes the most of the spectacular views and natural light, creating a bright and welcoming living area. The compact kitchen offers all the necessities, including a washing machine for those muddy dog towels! The lounge has an electric fire which is a wonderful focal point for relaxed nights in with up to two hounds laid out across the hearth. The well-appointed bathroom is downstairs, while upstairs, the characterful double bedroom is built into the eaves with plenty of floor space for Fido to stretch out. A private enclosed garden with BBQ is perfect for relaxing in the summer and enjoying the countryside views.
Crackington Haven is 11 miles from the seaside resort town of Bude that boasts some of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches. While some of these have restrictions through the year, Sandymouth is a National Trust owned beach and allows dogs to run free all year. 7 miles in the other direction is the picturesque village of Boscastle with its quaint harbour and a witchcraft museum that welcomes well-behaved dogs on leads. If you’re interested in literature, head 10 miles south of the property to Tintagel. Take your dogs on a walk fit for royalty as you follow in Tennyson’s footsteps when he wrote Idyll of the Kings.
