This remote bolthole for two is situated on the shores of Loch Long. The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and canine explorers, with walks to suit everyone. The wild and rugged Argyll Forest Park stretches away from the property, providing endless opportunities for dog walking and off-lead fun. The cottage has a delightful, decked area where you can sit to admire the waterside views, whilst Rover plays on the lawn.
The warm and welcoming holiday home has been carefully designed to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The underfloor heating makes the property nice and cosy and also creates lovely dozing spots for the pup. The kitchen area has an electric hot plate and microwave, allowing you to rustle up light bites and snacks to enjoy at the cute table for two. After a long walk, unwind on the plump sofa to watch TV, before retiring to the double bedroom to sink into the inviting sleigh bed. Patio doors lead from the lounge to the decked area, where there’s a BBQ for al fresco dining. There’s also a lawn area, where the hound can stretch out in the sunshine.
Benmore Botanic Garden (5.5 miles) makes a great doggy day out. Let the hound sniff their way around the 120 acres of rare plants, including an avenue of 150-year-old giant redwoods. Argyll Forest Park has some wonderful places to exercise your four-legged chum. Head to Puck’s Glen (5 miles) for a dramatic walk along the rocky gorge – this is a particularly good choice on a hot day, as there’s plenty of shade for your four-pawed friend. Lunderston Bay (via ferry from Dunoon) is a great dog-friendly beach. Wander along the sandy shoreline or enjoy a peaceful walk to Cloch Point Lighthouse.
