Stylish open plan property set on a small working farming on Exmoor, a great bolthole for couples to enjoy some peace and yet easy to explore the whole county.
Take a couple of canine companions with you to this romantic retreat in Challacombe, right in the heart of magnificent Exmoor. Set on a working farm, the exquisite holiday home is the perfect base for a holiday in Devon. Accommodating one couple, plus one or two hounds, the property is well located for superb moorland, woodland and country walks, as well as for outings to the coast.
Arrive at this appealing property and unload your luggage, holiday equipment and four-legged friends alike into its bright, open-plan interior. Find the enticing space, with its high, vaulted ceiling, slate flooring and revealed timbers, has been designed with everyone’s comfort in mind. Let your dogs find their bearings then settle them down in front of the wood-burner-effect fire, while you make yourself a fresh cup of coffee and prepare their dinner. Whip up something tasty for yourselves too and dine together at the table if you choose. Watch the Smart TV for a while before retiring to bed and laying your own heads in the super-king-size bed. There is also a shower room, with WC, and an outside terrace with the property. Soak up the sun out here with the pups before heading off on a long walk. Find parking for one car.
Pull on your boots, pick up the leads and choose any number of routes to follow from the front door. Walk the 6.5-mile circular route, for example, over the moorlands of Challacombe Common and past a medieval motte and bailey castle. Venture further afield to pick up a section of the South West Coast Path, from Malmsmead, 15 miles away, then embark upon a 4.5-mile walk, through National Trust land and landscapes described by R D Blackmore in his novel Lorna Doone.
