Stay on a working farm in Snowdonia National Park. This cosy accessible barn with an enclosed patio garden is perfect for family and friends to relax and enjoy river views from an idyllic spot near Bala.
Immerse yourselves in the natural beauty of North Wales and enjoy lakeside walks with your four-legged friend when you stay at this handsome, stone retreat. Sleeping five guests, the dog-friendly, former barn sits on a working farm about 2 miles from Bala and less than 3 miles from the picturesque lake. Close to the fringes of the Snowdonia National Park, and with views out over the River Dee, the two-bedroom holiday home is set in rolling grounds that guests and their delighted dogs can explore to their hearts’ content.
Return from your exhilarating excursions to hang dog leads and put your paws up in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Make a cup of tea, feed your hungry hound and gather round the table to enjoy the tasty meals you have prepared in the kitchen area. Let your contented canine stretch out while you settle down in front of a good film on the TV. The family shower room and a twin bedroom are also downstairs. A family bedroom, with a double bed and a single, plus an en-suite bathroom, is up on the first floor. Guests have use of a washing machine in a shared laundry room on the site. Take your pal out to stretch his furry legs before breakfast then return to the barn to have breakfast in the sunshine out on your private patio. Later on, cook supper on the BBQ out here too, as you gaze out at the impressive views, with your delighted dog keeping you company. There is parking at the barn for two cars.
Watch soft ears prick up as you follow the path down through the farmland to the river. For a more energetic walk, head to Bala Lake where you can attempt the 14-mile circuit of the water or tackle it in sections.
