Surrounded by trees above Lock Eck with walking, cycling, fishing, canoeing and kayaking on your doorstep, as well as cosy pubs, beautiful scenery and gorgeous wildlife to enjoy, this cabin is perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Add to that the spa-style bath, sauna and hot tub and it becomes a relaxing haven to return to after an exciting day out.
The cabin couldn’t be in a prettier spot on a wooded hillside in the western Highlands and is quiet and private too. It’s been tastefully decorated to provide a relaxing home from home vibe where you can chill in front of the TV, sit on the decking and admire the views, or enjoy the bath, sauna and hot tub (the hot tub is an optional extra). It’s got a double and a twin so it’s suitable for friends or family.
Spend your days enjoying the stunning area fishing on Eck Loch – one of only two lochs in the world that has freshwater herring (powan) – or book a boat tour to explore. You’re right in the heart or Argyll and Bute, close to several lochs, including Loch Long, which has the longest beach on the Cowal Peninsula and makes a lovely walk. Play a round at one of the three golf courses nearby - the closest is Strone, 7 miles away. Your canine companion will love the variety of walks close to the lodge too. There are walking trails throughout the hills and local woodland that take you through some spectacular scenery with amazing waterfalls and wildlife. The local inn is 300 metres away where Fido can snooze in front of the fire dreaming about squirrels and you can enjoy some Scottish hospitality. Dunoon is 11 miles away with a range of shops and places to eat out if you need anything.
