With gorgeous countryside views from its extensive garden, this large converted farmhouse buried in rural West Yorkshire offers an enticing getaway spot for families, friends and pets. Grandeur and elegance await inside this luxurious accommodation, while outside you’ll have a great-sized garden where the dog can run free and young children can play on the swings and slide, while you rest those weary limbs in the indulgent hot tub. It’s located within a small village with shops, restaurants and dog-friendly pubs within 1 mile, and surrounded by traditional Yorkshire market towns and breath-taking natural landscapes all ripe for exploration.

You’ll enter the property into a spacious entrance hall leading to the luxurious downstairs living rooms and a cinema room that’s ideal for rainy days. There are two lounges, the first with impressive vaulted ceilings propped up by lovely wooden beams and countryside vistas from its expansive windows. The second is super cosy with a Smart TV and a wood burner where the dog can nod off while you read a chapter or two of your book. Cooking enthusiasts will love preparing huge meals in the spacious country-style kitchen, equipped with an AGA and a large central island. In the beautifully decorated dining room, a chandelier lights up a round table and there’s plenty of carpet space so your pet can relax nearby as you dine. Outside, there’s a large gated courtyard to the front and a wonderful enclosed garden with a large patio that’s ideal for al fresco eating.

For scenic dog-walking opportunities, head 4 miles east to the Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve where you may spot some local wildlife (if Fido doesn’t scare it away!). The property is also your springboard for discovering the Peak District National Park 11 miles south, which offers longer hikes and ball-throwing opportunities galore.

Very comfortable accommodation Lots of space inside and out although the awful weather prevented us from utilising the latter. House was warm and well equipped. Beds and showers all excellent. Ideal venue for Christmas. Highly recommended

This was a beautiful property - really clean, comfortable and well maintained. We had an amazing time there and will definitely book again if we're looking for somewhere in the area.

Absolutely beautiful house. The was so much space. The garden is amazing and the eldest was over the moon with the ps3 in the conservatory. We all had a lovely family holiday with so much fun, the board games and the family quizes made it so nice for family time. The house was so fully equipped with everything we needed and more. A great place to stay with lots of space inside and out. Comfortable rooms, great kitchen and a large garden for play. Excellent, stay hole cottage, newly renovated of extreme high standard, great it has a movie room where the kids can keep themselves entertained. The hot tub is brilliant, heats up ever so quick. We loved staying at Prospect House for the week. Such a great property and very high standard of fixtures & decoration. Great location for walks around Greetland, Norland and Ripponden with a couple pubs within easy walking distance that both serve decent quality pub food.

Our stay in Prospect House was most enjoyable - it was a perfect venue, quiet with lots of space. It was very comfortable, warm and stress free. The hot tub was amazing and really enjoyable. Our hosts Sam and Claire were extremely helpful, answering minor queries promptly and efficiently. We hope to return.
