A lovely Welsh cottage in a rural location at the base of the Carneddau group of mountains, this property is ideal for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and families with up to two pups looking for an active holiday in North Wales. This cottage is a perfect base for exploring some of North Wales''s most stunning scenery. Top dogs will lead you to the North Wales Path when it’s time to sniff out adventures and you are ready to explore the nearby surroundings.
This welcoming cottage is homey and spacious and retains the charm of its original exposed beams and stone walls in the downstairs living spaces. There are beautiful rural views from most windows. On the ground floor is the living room, where your hounds will race you to the most comfortable spot. There are soft leather sofas to relax on and a wood burner for a cosy atmosphere in the cooler months. The attractive contemporary kitchen and dining area has all the appliances you need to prepare and enjoy home-cooked meals together. A two-seater sofa means the space is sociable and the cooks stay in the conversations during meal preparation. The dining table sits at one end of the kitchen with plenty of natural light and lovely views through the windows. A shower room, two double bedrooms and a bunk room are available on the ground floor. The outside space consists of a large lawned area and a gravelled area with a BBQ and outdoor seating. The beautiful views of the local countryside and across the Menai Strait to Anglesey make this a lovely spot for a drink or to dine alfresco on a fine evening.
The location is perfect to explore the coastline on either side of the Menai Strait. Let your pups lead you on a historic adventure around nearby Penryhn Castle (3.5 miles), and when it’s time for an off-lead run about, head to and hike the mountainous trails weaving through the Gwydyr Forest (15.5 miles). Closer to home are the beautiful Aber Falls (5 miles) and your sea dogs will love the sandy beach at Conwy Morfa (12 miles) which welcomes paw prints all year round.
