Located on the border between Brighton and Hove and less than 300 metres from the seafront, this charming mews cottage offers the ideal seaside retreat for a couple or small family and one beloved hound. With two parking spaces and a private, enclosed garden, this two-bedroom cottage has everything you need for a fun city break, yet it’s easy to escape to the South Downs for walkies.
This light and airy cottage has a homely and welcoming feel as soon as you step into the open-plan lounge/diner. Sink into the two sofas after a busy day’s exploring, your four-legged friend snoozing contentedly while you watch TV. Prepare meals for all the family in the compact yet convenient kitchen, and eat together at the dining table or in the rear courtyard garden, while your pup potters around or stretches out in the sun. At bedtime, head upstairs for a restful night’s sleep in the double and single bedrooms, ready for a new leash of life in the morning.
Brighton and Hove is a vibrant destination – and very dog friendly, too. Take your top dog for a morning stroll along the prom, or head onto the beach at certain times of the year (April to September has dog bans on many beaches, so always check first). There are several gorgeous parks, including Preston Park and Queen’s Park, or you can head out of town to explore Devil’s Dyke (5.5 miles) or the South Downs National Park, which starts within the city’s boundaries. Within the city, enjoy a picnic in the grounds of the Brighton Pavilion, explore the independent boutiques in The Lanes and North Laines (many of which welcome dogs), and enjoy the dog-friendly cafes and restaurants.
