Deceptively spacious and elegantly stylish, this welcoming home is close to the pretty coastal village of Amroth and just a mile from the beach. It’s a great base for couples or families – plus four-pawed friend – to explore the beautiful coast and countryside of Pembrokeshire, with much on offer, from walking to water sports.
Enjoy the soft colours and large rooms in this bungalow-style property, in which the rooms on the first floor have sloping ceilings and skylights. The sleek kitchen/diner is a stress-free place in which to prepare tasty meals, and while the cook is at work there’s space at the dining table to get out a map and plan the next day’s activities, with your pup in his bed nearby. After supper relax in the comfortable lounge before heading upstairs to bed. There’s a choice of a double bedroom with a TV or a twin, and the property has two bathrooms: a wet-room shower room on the ground floor and a pretty bathroom on the first floor. For al fresco meals and drinks, chasing tails and relaxing in the fresh air, step up and into the enclosed garden, where there’s a lawned area and a patio with a BBQ.
Amroth is a peaceful village that marks the beginning (or end) of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and boasts a mile-long, south-facing beach. It’s popular with families and allows dogs all year round, just limited to one end during summer. If the beach is busy head for Wiseman’s Bridge, which has a wide expanse of sand at low tide and is about a mile away. Saundersfoot is 3 miles and Tenby 6.5 miles, both fabulous seaside resorts, the former quieter and more traditional, the latter buzzier and more modern; both boasting stunning beaches and an array of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
