So close to the beach you can almost dip your toe in the water, this holiday cottage is also just steps from the pubs, restaurants and shops of Felixstowe. With gorgeous views and a courtyard which catches the evening sun, it’s perfect for a family escape or a small group of friends getting together.

Set over three storeys, this welcoming home has been tastefully decorated throughout and has a fresh yet calm feel. Gorgeous views over the beach and sea are the icing on the cake. The glossy modern kitchen includes integrated appliances and a small breakfast bar for a morning coffee, while the lounge/diner is a comfortable space with sofas around a Smart TV and a dining table for six. There’s also a handy WC on this floor, with a family bathroom on the first floor that’s shared by two of the three bedrooms, a double and a twin. For a quiet moment of contemplation, stop at the landing and sink into the armchair with views of the sand and waves. A spacious king-size bedroom takes up the top floor, and boasts not only a Juliet balcony overlooking the sea but also an en-suite shower room. An enclosed courtyard at the back of the house features a raised verandah for enjoying the sea air, and you have direct access not only to the beach but also to a children’s playground.

Felixstowe is an Edwardian town that offers a vibrant range of amenities, from independent boutiques to a pier and traditional amusements. Enjoy a day on the beach (dogs welcome all year apart from one section in the summer months), stroll the long promenade with its colourful beach huts, or hike 4 miles to the tiny fishing village of Felixstowe Ferry, which offers gorgeous views and fresh fish for sale.

We all really enjoyed our stay there. We have hired an identical house down the road and the Honeywell was far better in decoration and comfort. The interior was spotless apart from what I mentioned above. Lots of added extras from the drawers and cupboard being full of things we could use of borrow which helped a lot. Thank you.

Great winter getaway by the sea. Accommodation warm, light and airy. Plenty of room for a family of 6, close to amenities, the pier, cafes etc.

Excellent location within walking distance of town, beach, heritage sites and viewpoint across docks. The property was exceptionally clean and comfortable and made a great base to catch up with friends. Will look forward to returning!

We have hired 4 different properties through Suffolk Secrets in this location and all have been in an ideal location and of a good standard. Of the 4, this would probably be my least favourite as it is a bit smaller than the other properties in the same block, but I think a bit dearer than the others. It is advertised to accommodate 6 people and thRead moreere is bedding for 6, but I think because of the layout of the living room that also has the dining table in, you would struggle to get 6 adults around the table. We also found there was no information pack in the property which has always been available in the other Suffolk Secrets rentals which gives you details and instructions for the appliances, local attractions, waste disposal and recycling etc etc.. We normally rent a property at this location each year as we have family in the area, so that said it would not stop me from renting again if non of the other 3 properties were not available. The issues I mention are not complaints just constructive feedback. If you are looking for a holiday rental with kids, this is an ideal location with a play area right in front of the property and then the sea and pebble beach just beyond that. Hide
