The cottage had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water, heating we could adjust and clean bedding and towels. As seems to be a regular thing these days, no welcome pack was supplied. No private parking, but we always got parked outside. Unfortunately, we didn't find the cottage very private. The front window looks onto the fairly busy footpath. Read moreThe backyard has no privacy at all from neighbours or the path path running along the back. No attempt has been made to make it a pleasant area to sit in. If the wind is blowing in the wrong direction, the proximity of the chip shop becomes all too obvious. Amble, apart from the harbour front, doesn't lend itself to a holiday destination, but the surrounding area does have some fabulous beaches and areas of real beauty. This cottage, as a base for this area is great but lack of nice outside space, makes it a compromise. Hide
